Whenever I hear this parable, it reminds me that it is not our place to judge. This is something that I believe I am often guilty of. It was the landowners decision to give all of the workers the same amount of pay even though they didn't all work the same number of hours. What he did with his money was his decision. It is God's decision who receives His mercy and His forgiveness. It doesn't matter what someone's past sins are, it is not for us to judge. If God can forgive and show mercy, why can't we do the same?

I have always liked this parable as it is the perfect illustration of how God blesses all of us with eternal life if we chose to trust in Him no matter when we turn our life over to Him. It also illustrates how it is by faith and not works that we enter the kingdom of heaven
Yes! I totally agree with both of you! I really like this parable! It is hard sometimes when you feel you are "entitled" to something and it is all too easy to look around and compare, but it is not what we are supposed to do. We have not place to judge. I love trying to decipher what God wants to teach us. It is amazing how everything that was written so very long ago, still can be easily applied to present day. The more I learn, the more I realize I have so much work to do on myself, that I really don't have the time to worry about what anybody else is doing. My focus needs to be upwards!
