As I began reading chapter 5 I was not sure where Chan was going. At first I thought that he was claiming that we could lose our salvation. I have only read a little bit of the chapter so far but I am sure that this could be a great discussion point at the group on Thursday

I am wondering how we are all doing this week after another great week of discussion and convicting words from Tim Wu, I mean Francis Chan. I have found much more encouragement to place Him first this week. As I mentioned I began reading Psalms and taking my time with each chapter and I have admit that the words have inspired me to live more for Him.
I still like the question that Chan posed when he asked if we were in love with Heaven or with Jesus Christ. It has made me think a lot about that this week. Only one more until I am gone and Matt H is up.
I was reading Psalms 19 today and the first few verses took hold of me like our study has done. David wrote, "The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never hear. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world."
We have been talking about how BIG our Lord is and how we tend to be so distracted in ourselves that we forget Him. He is all around us, yet we always seem to be distracted. I wish I could praise the Lord the way I was called to. I want to thank God right now for all the amazing beauty that He gives us everyday: A sunrise or sunset, a post-storm rainbow, another breath, a child's smile, a wife's embrace. Man is our God good!
